Keepsake has no accounts, so we will never ask you for a password, and we never need your photos.

Requirements

Keepsake runs on iPhone with iOS 26.2 or later, and is free to download. Keepsake Plus (similar photos, smart clean-up and swipe up to file) is a one-time in-app purchase, with no subscription. Keepsake works without a connection, apart from photos kept only in iCloud, which need one to download.

Common questions

How do keeping, archiving and deleting work?

Swipe a photo right, or tap the tick, to keep it: it won't come round again. Swipe it left, or tap the cross, to archive it. Archiving only sets it aside inside Keepsake; your library stays as it was.

When you're ready, open the Archive (tap Archived on Home), untick anything you want to keep, and tap Delete. iOS asks you to confirm, and the photos go to Recently Deleted in Photos.

I archived a photo by mistake

Tap Undo straight away to take the last decision back. Later, open the Archive and untick the photo before you delete the rest. To see an album's sorted photos again, tap the filter in the sorter and choose Show kept & archived; to start over, reset your archived photos in Statistics (tap In library on Home).

I deleted a photo by mistake

In the Photos app, open Recently Deleted (under Utilities), select the photo and tap Recover. Photos keeps deleted photos there for up to 30 days.

Keepsake only shows some of my photos

You've shared only some photos with Keepsake. Tap Manage on Home to change which, or give it your whole library in Settings › Apps › Keepsake › Photos › Full Access.

A photo takes a while to appear

If you use iCloud Photos with Optimise iPhone Storage, the full photo may be in iCloud only. iOS downloads it when Keepsake shows it, and the card shows how far along it is. That needs a connection; Keepsake fetches the next few photos ahead while you sort.

How does swipe up to file work?

Tap the swipe-up album at the top of the sorter and pick an album. From then on, swiping a photo up keeps it and adds it to that album. It's part of Keepsake Plus; your first 10 swipes up are free.

How do I restore Keepsake Plus?

Open a Plus feature, such as one of the Clean up albums on Home, and tap Restore at the foot of the Keepsake Plus sheet. Use the Apple Account you bought it with. If it still isn't found, write to us.

Is there a version for Android, iPad or Mac?

Keepsake is for iPhone.
